Worklink is a community focused, not for profit organisation that has been successfully assisting regional Western Australians to ‘learn, work, grow’ since 1988. We have offices in Albany, Esperance and Kalgoorlie.
We provide FREE* career guidance services to help our clients to identify, plan and then reach their potential in the workforce. Our Career Consultants, delivering the Jobs & Skills Centre service, support our clients to create effective resumes and job applications that bring out their best and prepare them for that vital interview. We work alongside key community organisations and employers across the Great Southern and Goldfields-Esperance to link our clients to the many possibilities available across these regions. Our services are available as an individual or as part of group workshops. The Jobs & Skills Centre is a service funded by the Department of Training & Workforce Development.
As a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we customise training for individuals, groups and businesses with a focus on leadership, business and retail studies.

Some people require additional support to help them access training. The Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) subsides a range of training options to provide assistance and support to eligible students via the Participation Program (PP) as part of this, we offer students additional support such as assistance with meals, well-targeted work experience placements, and resume writing.
To gain access to training as part of the Participation Program students may need to be referred by a 'participation referral agent', though students can self-nominate if they meet the eligibility requirements.

A Traineeship is a structured employment based training program that leads to gaining a nationally recognised qualification. Trainees may be full time, part time or school based.
We currently provide training for the following Traineeships:- Certificate II in Business- Certificate III in Business- Certificate II in Retail Services- Certificate III in Retail
We will work with the employer and trainee to:- Prepare a training plan- Explain and coordinate the assessment process- Explain and arrange Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) based on previous training & experience- Provide up to date learning resources.
Government subsidies may be available to employers.We can refer you to an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network Centre for more information or visit our Useful Links page to view other support organisations.
FEES & CHARGES
We offer different payment methods and options - including payment plans, concession rates and capped fees. Some students may also be eligible for financial assistance from agencies such as Centrelink or Job Services Australia (Job Actives) while you are studying or training.
Indicative fees for the qualifications we are currently offering follow (depending on the units being delivered):

These courses are delivered as part of the publicly funded by the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) Jobs & Skills WA Participation Program. Eligibility criteria may apply.**
Where course fees are over $1,500 we will not ask you to pay more than $1,500 at any one time.
Skills Recognition - RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) of units held already RPL fees apply 80% of unit cost per unit.
Concessions may be available to people and/or dependants (of persons) holding a Pensioner Concession Card, a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veteran Affairs or a Health Care Card; Persons and dependents of persons in receipt of AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY; Person and dependants of person in receipt of the Youth Allowance; Persons who are inmates of a custodial institution; and/or Secondary school-aged persons, not enrolled at school.
Capped fees - a maximum course fee of $420 - are available to secondary school aged participants not enrolled at school. In 2017, these students will be born on or after 1 July 1999 and must be at least 15 years of age. This concession expires when the student is no longer of secondary school age and only units started within the years of secondary school age can be charged at the capped rate.
Severe financial hardship may apply to some students, who may then be eligible for a 'fee waiver'. In order to apply for a fee waiver detailed evidence must be provided to clearly demonstrate the situation and that the situation is likely to remain for the duration of the course. A person is considered to be experiencing severe financial hardship if they are unable to provide for themselves and/or their dependents.
JOBS & SKILLS CENTRE
Worklink is the contracted service provider for the Jobs & Skills Centre across the Great Southern and Goldfields-Esperance regions.
Our Jobs & Skills Centres are based in Albany, Kalgoorlie and Esperance. This free service assists individuals of any age at any point throughout their lives to make educational, training and occupational choices and to manage their careers. This includes career guidance, web based and computer programs, job search and resume assistance, referrals and training and labour market information.
The range of services includes:- Individual and/or group career guidance- Resume and job application assistance- Web based services- Computer assisted career guidance programs- Facilitated referrals to other services- Education, training & labour market information.
Our services are offered face to face, online or over the phone. Whether you are just starting your career, re-entering the workforce, looking for a career change or still at school, our trained and experienced staff can assist you.
Regular visits are made throughout the Great Southern and Goldfields regions.
The service is funded by WA Department of Training and Workforce Development.

Worklink is seeking a suitably experienced Career Consultant to join our team in the Great Southern. The Career Consultant is responsible for providing career development services including career guidance, job search, resume assistance & information on training options.
Worklink is a contracted service provider for the Department of Training & Workforce Development to deliver the Jobs & Skills Centre services across the Great Southern and Goldfields-Esperance regions. Candidates need to have:
Previous experience providing careers / employment services
Certificate IV Career Development, similar (or be willing to undertaken this qualification)
