Worklink's Board provides strategic leadership and direction to the organisation, and is made up of progressive and community-focused professionals with a wealth of experience and expertise.
Ben Headlam - Chair
With close to 20 years working in community services with a focus on improving people’s wellbeing, I have gained incredible personal satisfaction in serving my community. In supporting people with issues around mental health, alcohol and drugs as well as broader welfare issues, I have come to realise that education and vocation are foundational to people’s ability to make positive changes in their lives and future.
My experience in leadership, management and governance over the past 10 years has provided me with skills which I am able to contribute to my community outside of my work, and it was this desire that led me to join the Worklink Board. I have contributed on the Board for four years and have served as the Chairman for the past year.
Antonia Grasso - Vice-Chair
After practising law for just over 20 years, in 2008 I decided to close that chapter in my life. I started working at Relationships Australia as a branch manager and a registered mediator. I conduct mediations in family law and non family law related matters.
I am also an independent community member for the Department of Housing Appeals Tribunal.
I enjoy teaching of any sort, such as dancing and languages, and I have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
I also enjoy theatre and writing, having published some poetry books.
Barbara Biggs - Treasurer
Glenn Jones - Secretary
I have been employed in the Federal Public Service for twenty five years; predominantly in the area of service delivery, community and stakeholder engagement and operations administration in Remote and Regional Western Australia. Currently a Service Support Manager for operations in the Goldfields, I have also worked in the Great Southern and South – West regions in the same capacity. Previous experience includes Programme Management and Compliance support and investigation roles.
My personal interests include gardening, reading and bushwalking.
I have sat on the Board since October 2015. I run my own small business providing IT and Telecommunications services to clients across the Great Southern. I also sit on the board of the Albany Enterprise Group incorporating Business Great Southern and The Small Business Centre. I have a strong interest in the development of small businesses across the region, this fits well with my involvement with Worklink as part of our remit is to assist a broad range of the community with training, certification and reintegration into the workforce. I have worked in the technology sector for 30 years both in The UK and since 2006 in Australia.
In my spare time I enjoy camping, fishing, bush walking and have recently taken up aviation as a hobby. I also perform in a local band.
